The Boeing 737 was flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv when the co-pilot allegedly attacked Captain Machchhar and stabbed him in an apparent attempt to crash the plane. Despite his injuries, Machchhar managed to open the cockpit door, allowing crew members and passengers to intervene and overpower the co-pilot. Two off-duty pilots then helped bring the aircraft under control and land safely in Saudi Arabia
